Perfect conditions at Sandy Point greeted the team for the horses’ first 40km ride, on Sunday, November 17 at Sandy Point.

The three Silver Omen mares, the pure Crabbet full sisters Aurora Raffeah with Janina and Aurora Reniah with Robin, and arabian warmblood mare Aurora Mystique with Kimberley, all took turns leading throughout the ride, and came in in 3 hours and 41 minutes for the 40km. It was the trio’s first 40km ride, and Mystique’s first affiliated ride. Her dam, Fabuloso, has several miles under her belt.

Lyn was on timekeeping duties for the Mt Linton Club this ride, and thus out of the saddle, but she was kept very busy with 29 riders over 25, 40 and 80km to keep track of.
