A big welcome to Sophie Scemama de Gialluly, who is the latest member of the Aurora team. Sophie, 24, arrived straight from France on Monday after travelling for 60 hours!
Sophie hails from Tours, a large city in the Loire Valley, a couple of hours from Paris.
She’s hit the ground running. Along with Janina, Sophie is exercising the endurance horses, who will next be out at the December ride for our local Mt Linton Endurance Club. Call and say ‘hi’ if you’re at the ride.
Sophie is also riding Kass, who has not long been under saddle, and is also working with his younger full brother, Kool Kat (KK).
Sophie has finished her masters degree in agriculture and environment in France, specialising in animal production, and has also just completed a study on equine welfare.
She’s an experienced rider, and comes from a showjumping and eventing background.
